Just a few more weeks until the ground is frozen, which means now is the time to plant your bulbs for spring. Be sure to plant no deeper then the height of the bulb. Here in the Pacific Northwest, almost every type of bulb thrives including daffodils, tulips, lilies, irises, and edible species like garlic. Don’t be afraid to experiment with what works best in your garden. Try bunching different colors together for a breathtaking surprise when they bloom this spring.

Can’t wait for spring to see your bulbs bloom? Paperwhites can be planted in pots or vases right now for a great Christmas time centerpiece. They are very fast growing, and their blossoms are very fragrant.
